IT Pakistan: - Premier
telecom operator of Pakistan, Ufone, pursuing the tradition of being there for
Pakistanis in times of crisis has been an activity for the relief of famine
-stricken regions of Tharparkar, to help ease the suffering of those affected
by the devastating famine.
According
to Ufone vision of helping people and giving back to the society , in addition
to providing support to the needy , 20 employees from all Ufone Pakistan
voluntarily and traveled in Tharparkar, to support relief efforts . Apart from this,
all employees Ufone donated whole heartedly for the drought -affected people in
the region.
This
CSR initiative in collaboration with SWWS (Support with Working Solutions),
which is a non - profit organization that works on community-driven development
in Pakistan for the last 20 years.
Expressing
his views on this noble initiative, Director of Public Relations and Corporate
Social Responsibility Ufone, Amir Pasha said, "Ufone continues its
tradition of being there for Pakistanis in times of crisis to alleviate some of
the misery caused by the devastating famine which residents Tharparkar face.”
He further added," we believe it is our responsibility to help our fellow
countrymen in the hour of need. "
Through
the relief operation, food parcels were given to 3500 people in various
councils of the Union Tharparkar (i.e. Tehsil Double, Chachro, Nagarparker,
Islamkot and Myths). These parcels foods contain a portion of two weeks for the
affecters including wheat flour, rice, lentils (Daal’s), ghee, sugar, tea, salt,
water bottles and milk.

drought -affected areas of Tharparkar."
