National Assembly Resolution of Youtube Will Not Achieve on Ground. Law Makers

Although a resolution calling for the restoration of YouTube in the country was passed with a unanimous vote in the National Assembly on Tuesday , some lawmakers believe this will accomplish nothing in the soil.

" A resolution not tied into the government , " said former law minister Senator SM Zafar talking to The Express Tribune .

Zafar added that resolutions have no legal or constitutional value but are important in parliament since they are passed to elected representatives.

"Our history is that resolutions are passed and then are thrown into trash can ."

Shazia Marri MNA of Pakistan Peoples opposition Fun (PPP ) had moved a resolution that says " This House is of the opinion that the Government should take steps to raise [ the ] ban on YouTube" .
