Information Technology Latest News: -NUST is hosting a week-long workshop on Entrepreneurship for Scientists and
Engineers at its Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).
The
workshop will be conducted in collaboration with the U.S. State Department, USAID,
Higher Education Commission Pakistan, National Academy of Sciences, ASME
Pakistan and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics.
The
opening ceremony, held at NUST was led by the Rector NUST, Engr. Muhammad
Asghar. Dr. William E Colglazier, science and technology adviser to U.S.
Secretary of State also graced the opening ceremony as guest of honor. In his
welcoming remarks, Rector NUST made efforts
at NUST to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, the
first technology incubator in Pakistan is of science (Information Technology Latest News).
In
particular, in the water, energy, food, and health care - The intensive
workshop is aimed at scientists and engineers from Pakistan, who are in
learning entrepreneurial skills and bring their expertise, ideas and innovation
specific to the needs of to meet 70 % of the Pakistani people that make less
than two dollars per day. 50 different scientists, engineers and budding
entrepreneurs from across Pakistan attend the workshop, which is performed by a
line-up of prominent international speakers such as Dr. Bernard Amadei, U.S. science
officer, Dr. Raghu Surya, President Advanced Fluids Inc. and Dr. , Faysal
Sohail, General Partner CMEA capital . In order to share their local
experiences, successful entrepreneurs have also been invited from Pakistan.
