Latest IT News: The patents likely blanket a reach of software and tools of investment to Twitter
Twitter has gained over 900 patents from IBM, a move likely planned to settle IBM's claims that Twitter was encroaching on no less than three of its patents.
IBM said Friday that Twitter obtained the patents in December, and that the organizations had entered into a patent cross-permit agreement covering different innovations that could be imparted between the firms.
The arrangement will probably permit Twitter to keep on operaing without confronting a copyright encroachment suit from IBM, which is one of the biggest U.s. patent holders with a dynamic portfolio of around 41,000 patents.

Money related terms of the arrangement were not revealed.
