to various sources, the Ministry of Telecom is all set to host the World
Telecom Day on May 16, Friday. What is surprising is the news that the office
is looking forward to telecommunications companies that bear all the expanses
of the event.
It is
very aggravating, because these companies have just cleared the auction, which
saw a total investment of $ 1.1 billion. These companies are still reeling from
the shock of having to pay 10% of their bid amount as advance tax at FBR while
provincial governments are now demanding 16% tax. This claim, if true will
certainly raise a lot of eyebrows and ire of the company as well.
