Information Technology in Pakistan: - Ufone has launched the launch of 3G services in
the country after the successful bid for the 3G spectrum license and finally
won, after the free trial services were offered to customers in Lahore,
Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Faisalabad and for limited
periods, to make them familiar with the technology and its benefits.
Similarly, the operator has started offering
free trial service in Multan as well, to give people a taste of seamless connectivity
and speed offered by the operator.
"It’s essential for the progress of
Pakistan that we ensure the advancement in telecommunications (Information Technology in Pakistan) service, in line
with global trends.” He said Taimur Faiz Cheema, GM Marketing at Ufone.
To use the service, customers simply need to
change their networks from 2G to 3G or GSM, WCDMA, after which they will be
able to experience an ultra-fast speed for the first 200 MB, while a reduction
in speed would have lived up 128kbps after that, to facilitate all the customers,
which will be communicated to the customer via SMS.
All customers who switch to the service will be
notified by a text message to inform them about the activation of the service.
Prepaid and postpaid customers will benefit from the 3G service test.
